In 2014 A Film in Your Backpack turns 18!

To celebrate this event, in collaboration with the Royal Embassy of Norway, we will be showing one of the most successful films from our collection: in 2005, we organized the first and only Italian retrospective of the works by Ivo Caprino.

A little self-sufficient community lives in a small mountain town.
There is a private radio, a local TV station with a gaudy anchorwoman, a mayor, a poet, a color-blind postman, the sweet Reodor Inventor and his friends and helpers: Solan clever and joyful crow, and Ludvig, a lazy, prudent and pensive mole. The construction of a magnificent race car and the participation in a breathtaking competition engage young viewers in a timeless adventure.

Ivo Caprino was born in 1920 in Oslo, Norway.  He was a director and screenwriter known worldwide for his films Flåklypa Grand Prix (1975), Den standhaftige tinnsoldat (1955) and Musikk på lofte (1950). He was married to the actress Liv Bredal.  He died in 2001 in Snarøya, Oslo. Starting in 1949 he also made 38 commercials, many of which were experimental.  He is the greatest Norwegian creator of animated films.
